Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast technological, economic, and social trends through 2026 using proprietary foresight methodologies
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging domains (quantum computing, neurotech, climate resilience)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align leadership on future scenarios and contingency plans
- Author white papers and thought leadership positioning Horizon as a future-shaping authority
- Partner with product teams to integrate 2026-vision into near-term innovation pipelines
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts impacting long-term strategy
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into enterprise strategy
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, synthetic biology, quantum systems)
- Exceptional scenario planning and systems thinking abilities
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy
- Experience advising C-suite on long-term transformation initiatives
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CSFI, WFS) preferred
