Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Design and execute experimental protocols using 128+ qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction techniques
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research funding through compelling proposals
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships with Fortune 500 tech firms
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for 2026 infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing quantum algorithm breakthroughs (3+ Nature/Science papers)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Experience managing quantum research budgets exceeding $2M
- Strong background in quantum error mitigation and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools (Q#, IBM Qiskit)
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one) for government contracts
- Public speaking experience at major quantum computing conferences
