Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in healthcare, climate tech, and autonomous infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional committees including engineers, ethicists, and policymakers to align technical solutions with societal values
- Develop certification protocols for AI safety and transparency standards by 2026
- Conduct risk assessments for emerging technologies including neural interfaces and generative AI
- Represent Nexus Future Labs at global tech ethics forums and regulatory bodies
- Create educational programs for internal teams and external partners on responsible AI deployment
- Author white papers on long-term AI ethics strategies and publish in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years in AI governance
- Proven experience developing ethical frameworks for large-scale AI deployments
- Expertise in regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights) and ISO/IEC standards
- Deep understanding of existential risk mitigation strategies for AGI development
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to technical teams
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on AI ethics or technology policy
- Experience working with multinational corporations and government agencies
- Fluency in at least two languages beyond English
