Responsibilities
- Assist in patient triage and vital sign monitoring during overnight shifts
- Shadow emergency department physicians during critical care procedures
- Document patient encounters using Epic EHR systems with precision
- Participate in interdisciplinary team huddles and case reviews
- Support infection control protocols and sterile technique maintenance
- Conduct patient education materials under supervision
- Respond to emergency codes with rapid deployment training
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in accredited nursing, pre-med, or allied health program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA with emphasis in science coursework
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Availability to work 3 overnight shifts weekly (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare terminology
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress emergency situations
- Pass background check and drug screening per hospital policy
