Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms with 99.9% fidelity targets
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit connectivity and error correction protocols
- Develop roadmaps for quantum supremacy in machine learning and cryptography
- Secure $50M+ in research grants through innovative proposal development
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Patent breakthrough quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Track record of leading quantum algorithm development with measurable impact
- Experience securing federal or corporate quantum research funding
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and post-NISQ roadmaps
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
