Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for industrial-scale deployment
- Develop error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Create quantum algorithms for cryptography, materials science, and AI optimization
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML specialists to hybrid classical-quantum solutions
- Present findings at quantum computing conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with quantum circuit design and simulation tools
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Published research in quantum computing or topological quantum field theory
