Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and topological systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum processors with 100+ qubit capabilities
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRL, Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction protocols
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
