Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes using advanced measurement techniques
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum system stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency with cryogenic quantum hardware and control systems
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum data analysis
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Active DOE or NSF quantum computing research preferred
