Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubits and quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional quantum initiatives
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with low-level programming (C++, Python) and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding (NSF, DOE, etc.)
