Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 innovation horizon scan, analyzing macroeconomic shifts, technological inflection points, and societal evolution drivers
- Architect strategic frameworks for emerging technology adoption, including AI ethics, quantum resilience, and climate-positive innovation
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate breakthrough concepts with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
- Translate foresight insights into actionable product roadmaps and investment priorities for executive review
- Establish thought leadership through white papers, industry forums, and media partnerships positioning Horizon as the 2026 innovation authority
- Manage portfolio of moonshot projects with $5M+ annual innovation budget
- Mentor next-generation futurists through our Horizon Academy program
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or equivalent experience with 8+ years in innovation strategy
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or market transformations
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (GenAI, quantum computing, neurotech, climate tech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional scenario planning capabilities with documented success in anticipating market shifts
- Experience leading cross-functional innovation teams in Fortune 500 or high-growth startup environments
- Published thought leadership in industry journals or major media platforms
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation initiatives with multi-year impact
