Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma/Sketch
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing)
- Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Analyze user behavior data to iterate on design solutions
- Present design concepts to stakeholders with clear rationale
- Document design processes and maintain organized project archives
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in UX/UI design, HCI, graphic design, or related program
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design projects
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Availability for 15-20 hours/week during summer/fall semester
- Portfolio submission required with application
