Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and paradigm shifts affecting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks for C-suite decision-making, quantifying future scenarios
- Drive cross-functional innovation sprints translating future trends into product roadmaps
- Author white papers and thought leadership on emerging megatrends (AI, biotech, climate resilience)
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout and invest in 2026-relevant startups
- Design immersive future-state simulations for client and stakeholder engagement
- Lead global workshops with governments and Fortune 500 companies on 10-year strategic planning
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into commercial success
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data storytelling with visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js)
- Published thought leadership in futures or strategy journals
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight.org)
