Responsibilities
- Monitor Operations: Oversee daily warehouse activities and cargo flow during night shifts to ensure timely processing.
- Inventory Control: Assist in tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems.
- Material Handling: Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload freight.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and delivery receipts with high accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy and organized work area, including sorting and organizing incoming pallets.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (rising Junior or Senior preferred).
- Schedule: Must be available to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) during the summer, specifically including night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Experience: Previous warehouse or customer service experience is a plus.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
