Apex Logistics & Tech is looking for ambitious students to join our paid Summer Internship program on the Night Shift in Detroit, Michigan. We offer a unique blend of technical exposure and operational experience in a dynamic environment.
As a Summer Intern, you will play a vital role in our 24/7 operations, working directly with our logistics team to ensure seamless supply chain management. This is a full-time paid position designed to jumpstart your career in the manufacturing and technology sectors.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in real-time inventory tracking and data management systems.
- Support the night shift team in ensuring accurate order fulfillment and shipping.
- Perform quality assurance checks on incoming materials.
- Learn and operate warehouse management software and scanning equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace adhering to OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and update digital logs during night operations.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors to resolve logistical challenges efficiently.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided).
- Assist in loading and unloading freight trucks with precision.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in High School, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree program.
- Must be available to work 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Night Shift).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Detroit facility.
