Are you a motivated student looking for hands-on experience? Horizon Logistics is seeking a Summer/Fall Weekend Intern to join our dynamic team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable industry exposure within a fast-paced supply chain environment while enjoying the flexibility of weekend shifts.
In this role, you will support our weekend operations by ensuring inventory accuracy and assisting with critical logistics tasks. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to our team's success immediately.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of weekend inventory counts and stock reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
- Support the shipping and receiving departments by preparing and organizing shipping documents and labels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the warehouse facility.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify process improvements and operational bottlenecks.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to the management team.
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry and filing.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field).
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for the Summer/Fall internship period.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
